Flitesong provides a comfortable sanctuary for cage and aviary birds in need of a place to rest as they retire from breeding or that need a safe place to be until an adoptive home can be found for them. We can offer a temporary or permanent home for most kinds of pet birds. By specializing in the smaller species such as finches, small conures, and cockatiels, we can offer roomy housing in flight cages for these birds. We can also assist with domestic doves and
domestic pigeons, including tracing bands of found birds so the bird
can be reunited with its owner.
Occasionally we have room for a few of the larger parrots. As you will see on our "Successes" page, most of the adoptions are homes that were found for our larger birds who enjoy the companionship of humans. Most of our smaller birds enjoy each other's company in large flight cages where they can exercise and socialize in their bird community.

I became a lifetime member of the American Federation of Aviculture in 1994. I am past president of the Rocky Mountain Society of Aviculture and continue today as a business member and Vice President (2010) of that club (rmsabirds.com or 303-456-0068 FMI).
