Spring is Here - I think?

I didn't have anyone call me for weeks, or so it seemed, then BANG - lots of folks needed to find new homes for their pet birds. I have been able to help most of them, but write me if you are looking for a small pet bird to adopt. Be prepared for a long phone conversation before I decide whether to adopt a bird to you. I do not allow visitors to 'come and see what (I) have" at Flitesong. As harsh as this may sound, this is my home, not a zoo or a pet store. I will usually arrange to bring a bird or two to YOUR home to do a home visit at the same time you meet the bird(s) to see if you are truly interested in adopting. Thanks for understanding how things work at Flitesong. Wishing you a fine Spring! Linda

It's that time of year again....

About a dozen years ago, my Dept of Ag inspector, Cindy Thompson, suggested I change my PACFA license from bird breeder to shelter, since I seemed to have more retired breeders than active ones and had quite a few handicapped or otherwise unadoptable pet birds that would be staying with me for the long haul. Since then, she has visited several times, making suggestions along the way. Cindy is coming this Wednesday, so I am looking forward to seeing how she likes the improvements I have made since last year. Linda
